ClearTec (TM) Passive Skimmer

A ClearTech (TM) Passive Skimmer is a stormwater filtration component designed to capture and retain floating pollutants—primarily oils, hydrocarbons, and surface debris—before they enter the storm drain system. Installed inside a catch basin or drain structure, the passive skimmer sits at the water surface and absorbs contaminants as they rise, providing continuous, maintenance‑friendly protection.

The skimmer uses specialized absorbent media that targets hydrocarbons while allowing water to flow freely. Because it operates passively (without pumps or moving parts), it provides reliable, low‑cost filtration ideal for commercial, industrial, and municipal stormwater systems.
